Chai & Vanilla-Chai spice blends

My daughter absolutely loves Chai flavors. With her in mind, I created ways of using my chai spice-blend recipes into desserts, snacks, and for making a beautiful Chai latte at home.

I have two spice-variation recipes. Classic Chai is unsweetened and more savory. Vanilla-Chai has a hint of sweetness and vanilla flavor, while maintaining the smooth and warm-tones of this spice combination.

For quick and easy use, I repurposed a little pepper-shaker for a Vanilla Chai combination. It works beautifully for coffee and tea seasoning.

A trick to a good spice-combination is quality ingredients. You’ll want to be sure that the spices are fairly fresh, and not stored for more than a year. Spices do tend to lose their potency and can stale-out after being stored for too long.

How to make a Chai Latte:

Sprinkle a little seasoning-blend at the bottom of your coffee cup.

Pour in coffee and stir.

Add your choice of milk and frothy-foam to the top. (I have a little machine to make a proper froth.)

Sprinkle a little more spice blend to make it pretty.

Sip and enjoy.

This recipe mix is ideal for adding Chai flavors with a sweeter-note – great for desserts and a touch of sweetness and vanilla for coffee or tea.
I repurpose a pepper-shaker for this blend, so vanilla chai spice can be stored and ready to use anytime.

I hope you enjoy my recipes for Chai spice blends. Before Lent is over, I plan on sharing my recipe for roasted garbanzo beans (an ancient snack and tradition from Italy that I absolutely LOVE year-round). This is a re-post since my original from almost 10 years ago needed a little help.
