We gave our all to take good care of Sally and Billy on their wedding day – with custom flowers, plus wedding cake and a dessert table spread on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at the Botanica Gardens venue in Oceanside, California.
Ceremony Space
A flowing tree arch was a dream-installation. This project took us the most love and time to create: with prep and planning to achieve our goal of stability and safety, naturally framing the pond and waterfall, without compromising this beautiful space, or the integrity of the precious tree.
Sally’s flower recipe was a combination of texture and color in shades of mostly orange and pink, some neutrals and whites, dangles of airy greens, and a few pops of blue.
Highlights: Garden Roses, Dahlia, Amaranthus, Marigold, Cosmos, Mums, PomPon Daisies, Thistle, Delphinium, Snapdragon.
Sally was able to come out from the bridal suite to visit us during the installation process. She was in tears! We got to hug again (the first was after we presented her bouquet). She told us it was beyond anything she could dream up. She couldn’t believe what we were able to do for her, and that these were HER flowers for HER wedding. (We were so happy to share in her joy!)

Fulfilling our list, we placed two large floor arrangements at each beam of the pond-opening.
Ribbon-tied bunches of Baby’s Breath were at the first four rows of the aisle.
Reception
Reception was set in a combination of farm and round tables with runners. The joining farm tables were decorated with pieces of Huckleberry branch, loose blossoms, pillar and votive candles. The round tables had a large bud vase at the center, with three hurricane shade pillar candles and three votive candles. They utilized our flat rate rental for assorted options in candle-related table top decorating.
Sweetheart Table
During cocktail hour, the floor ceremony arrangements were moved to the front of the sweetheart table. Table-top corners were decorated using greenery stems and loose florals. At the top center, placed all five of the bridesmaid’s bouquets. The final touch were pillar candles and votives.
Wedding Cake & Dessert Table
The dessert table was catered and set via Mili’s Sweets.
I loved that Sally and Billy wanted custom color and texture on their wedding cake as well. They cut into their custom 6″ three layer with cakes in Lemonade, Champagne-Strawberry, and Birthday Sprinkles, and fillings of fresh strawberry and fresh raspberry buttercream.
The cake crumb was sealed in white chocolate ganache, covered in vanilla buttercream with textured layering of pale pink and pale orange, with a bottom rib. Onsite I strategically placed florals around the custom topper they provided. Their pedestal and riser style choice was Clean Wood & White.

Personal Florals
I didn’t have time to take photos of the bride’s bouquet (tied in gorgeous, flowing silk burnt orange ribbon) the 5 bridesmaid bouquets (in navy silk ribbon), or the boutonnieres in orange ranunculus. I hope that the couple’s photographer can share their captures with us, so we can tag them and update to this post soon!
