We’re sharing the details of the modern-whimsical florals, for Christine and Steven at Botanica in Oceanside, California this June.
All professional photography on this post, via both digital and film format, is credited to the amazingly talented team of Nicole + Luis of For The Books Photography and Video.
I honestly cannot get enough of these pics! I literally gasped when I first clicked into the photo gallery.

bride’s bouquet
We fulfilled Christine’s vision, to have and to hold a forward, and more modern asymmetrical design. Presenting her bouquet was such a satisfying part of the day for me personally. This was THE ONE. She was so happy (as she should be)!
spring ceremony, in full color
Two large ground arrangements were placed at the aisle entry. One arrangement was placed on a small table at the vows-space. We lined the aisle with two narrow rows of full-coverage white rose petals. Flower girls a couple hand fulls of rose petals to toss as they came down.
bridesmaids & moms
Small and all white was chosen for the bridesmaids and the bouquets for the two mothers. Mom’s received Peony, and Christine wanted mostly Gerber Daisies for her bridesmaids.
sweetheart table
During cocktail hour, the three ceremony arrangements were moved to the front of the sweetheart table. We used long white runners for the farm table, along with most of the reception tables. Three bud vases were placed on each end of the top, along with a sprinkling of votive candles.
reception
Here we loosely placed the runners, with a total of five bud vases per 8′ farm table – for a total of 10 as the layout connected the tables. Every stem we brought in was used. We repurposed flowers from the extra bridal bouquet, to fill the vases, and to add more to the welcome table.

We designed in shades of pink, orange, yellow, soft blues, lavender, white, and a touch of greenery.
Special Thanks to Christine and Steven for working so closely with me in the months that lead up to their beautiful wedding day. It was a joy to be trusted and chosen to fulfill this thought-filled work for them. Thank you to Karen of Flowers Made With Love, my dear friend, Glorified Hobby’s number one collaborator, partner, and subcontractor, for sourcing and creating such gorgeous florals! Finally, thank you (again and again) to For the Books Photography + Video for sharing and tagging what they captured with Glorified Hobby, so that we can tag them and share their work with you! Getting to see the depth of our couple’s big day through a professional’s lens, is honestly a best part of this entire process for us. xoxox
