So much love was poured into our family wedding. My step daughter Sammie, whom I’ve loved and cherished in my life since she was two and a half years old, and Bret, whom is the best son in law, friend and incredible man we could ever hope to join our family, were married on March 30, 2019, just down the road from were Sammie grew up.

This was such a huge day for us! Sammie’s dad, and my dear husband Rodney and I planned for months in participation, and on the day-of, I was honored to cater their cake and dessert tables. It was the best work of my life as Mili’s Sweets, and it took all hands on deck to make this spread happen: Rodney, my mom and her Nonna, Maria, her sister Sachi, her brother Nikko. I would explain to Sammie that I believed everything I’ve ever baked before this day was just practice, to bring me to the point of getting to do this for her and Bret. The joy of doing this all for them, stays in my heart.
I’m posting a bunch of photos of my work from this day, along with a few selections of my beloved family and favorite newlyweds, the Noëls, whom I hold so dear!
First up, highlights of the dessert table and cake!
Two of my favorite moments before the wedding was 1) Rodney and the kids greeting Sammie and seeing her as a beautiful bride for the first time. We were all so excited! 2) Was the moment when the sweethearts saw one another for the first time as bride and groom. We feel so fortunate to have been present for all of these precious moments happening in the background.

Then it was reception time! I loved the joy we all had as they enter as husband and wife.
I’ve never had so much joy in experiencing a cake-cutting. I was elated! I’m so grateful that the photographer fully-captured all these expressions. They are the cutiest-patootiest.
My heart practically exploded during the father-daughter dance:
Golden hour on Mr. and Mrs. Noël.
Thank you for being here and letting me share these special moments in my personal life and work.
With love,
