golden hour at Ethereal Gardens

For Angelina and Jack’s wedding, Mili’s Sweets had the joy of creating a romantic dessert table and sweetheart cake that captured vintage charm and elegance, set within golden hour at Ethereal Gardens.

Working closely with Mother of the Bride, Janina, and Angelina, I designed a dessert table spread in a perfect menu to fulfill the dream-vision of a generous and gorgeous dessert table spread.

Styling

To bring the vision to life, we styled two 8-foot farm tables using our own pale ivory linens, layered and softly draped for texture and movement. Covered risers added height and dimension with our “Antique Silver” collection as foundation for the look, mixed in with our “Old World Glass” pieces to balance it out.

Sweetheart Cake

Set apart by the sweetheart table, was a sweetheart cutting-cake. A 6″ two-layer Red Velvet was covered in vanilla buttercream using a vintage piping technique. I love making every cutting cake a little different – unique for each couple.

On-site, I matched the table linen styling to the dessert display and added their adorable dachshund topper for the finishing touch.

I was able to slip out of the reception space just before guest entry, as the sun was shining through. All was shimmering and the butterflies were still active. It was magic. I’m still feeling so happy with how this all came together!
