Abundant love & care went into our work for Jessica and Adam’s wedding at Darlington House in La Jolla. We were their florist via Glorified Hobby, and dessert caterer via Mili’s Sweets.

Jessica and I clicked even before I confirmed I was available for services on her date. I’m grateful and honored by the opportunity.
bouquet details
Jessica had a vision for her flowers, to include exceptional garden roses, a touch of blush on-white, with airy shape and placement, and without the use of greenery or filler. After we talked stems and reviewed her photo references for inspiration, she hired us to design and fulfill her bridal bouquet, along with three hand-bouquets for the bridesmaids.
The bride’s bouquet was the stand-out, using the best of the best- as it should be. Jessica was a gorgeous bride, and I was so thrilled that she loved what I created for her.
The bridesmaids enjoyed a smaller version with the same feel, and most of the stem-recipe.
The florals were all sourced through our favorite wholesaler, Mayesh in Carlsbad, and I picked them all up four days beforehand for babysitting at home, to be sure the roses were in total-bloom.
Hand-delivering to the bridal suite is a special moment. I wanted Sachi (my daughter) with me to assist. She helped me with the final draft for my bouquets, and she was onsite to deliver, and set the dessert table too. We had such a great day. We even stayed for a few extra moments to watch the bride and groom’s first-look behind the scenes. It was precious!
Each bouquet was finished with two different spools of hand-dyed silk ribbon, that I also sourced especially for her day.
Flower Recipe: O’hara Blush garden roses from Alexandra Farms, Quicksand Beige standard roses, cream spray roses, white Orlaya, white Belladonna Delphinium, and white Queen Annes Lace.
Jessica had the reception tables set on her own, with tons of beautiful crystal bud vases, beautiful white roses, and votive candles. I placed the balance of stems from her order into her set vases, adding extra dimension and color.
wedding cake & dessert table catering
Before we started talking about flowers, we were talking about wedding cake and desserts.
Adam and Jessica swooped up our tasting packages for curbside pick-up to help them narrow down and choose the flavors they wanted for their wedding cake and desserts.
Their dessert menu: mini trifles in both Tiramisu and Strawberry Shortcake, mini Churro cupcakes, mini Vanilla Cheesecakes, and small-bake Chocolate Chip cookies topped with a touch of sea salt.
Their wedding cake was a 6″ two layer, with a Vanilla Cheesecake base, topped with Churro cake. The vanilla buttercream finish had slight-texture, and of course, the blossoms were the finishing touch.
How could I be so fortunate to work with the nicest, realest, and most generous couples?! Jessica and Adam made the time I spent working for them feel like a dream. I truly enjoyed every moment for these two.
Did it sprinkle a little at their reception? Yes.
Did the SD Padres win that night? Yes!
