If life gives you lemons, make Lemon Bars! Lemon bars are a total classic, and a from-scratch essential for my personal and work-related baking. If you have a lemon-lover in your life, you need these bars! Shortbread is laid out to the bottom, and fresh lemon curd is poured over the top. It’s chilled to-set, cut, and absolutely devoured. If you have a moment to dust a little powdered sugar on top, go for it. Either way, this is a keeper of a recipe, and one that you and anyone who gets to enjoy them, will love for all-time.

lemon meringue pie
My daughter and I were excited to make lemon meringue pie for our family visit last weekend. Her Uncle Mark (my brother) loves all things lemon, and this classic favorite is one of the best ways to enjoy such a bright and delicious natural flavor. Here I share how I pull my recipes to make Lemon Meringue Pie happen, for a delightful heap of fluffy, torched vanilla meringue, topping from-scratch lemon curd pie filling.
fresh-made citrus curd: lemon & orange
Fresh made citrus curd, especially with lemon, is a staple on my dessert menu and is constantly being prepped for my catering and custom desserts. Most everyone loves a good lemon bar! Once you know how good this tastes, and how easy it is to make, there’s no going back to the stuff in a can. You can do this! Lemon is the original basic, but you can use this recipe using most any citrus fruit you love: orange, lime, grapefruit, etc.
