With my no-peanut butter cookie recipe, peanuts are replaced with any smooth seed or nut butter loved most – without compromise on taste or texture for this beloved classic.
vegan royal icing
Classic royal icing calls for meringue powder, containing eggs as a main ingredient. I did a little research, and tweaked the moisture levels to find a nice flow. I wanted to take a moment and share this recipe so that others can enjoy a vegan alternative that doesn’t compromise on taste, or the ability to set dry to the touch.
abundantly-full dessert table
We were so happy to cater an abundantly-full dessert table at Green Gables in San Marcos. I’m sharing the menu and details of our dessert catering work – for and with our bride, Tiffanie.
boho with depth and dimension
Boho with depth and dimension – adding life, color, and texture to update the current trend. Tiffany and Jerry gave me creative liberty to develop the design for the custom wedding cake and bride bouquet to celebrate their quaint December 2022 wedding.
joyful Thanksgiving
I’m sharing some of the joyful Thanksgiving florals and pies I created, to kickstart our holiday season with a full spread for family at home.
love for Jessica & Adam
Abundant love & care went into our work for Jessica and Adam’s wedding at The Darlington House in La Jolla. We were their florist via Glorified Hobby, and dessert caterer via Mili’s Sweets.
boho bliss
Karen of Glorified Hobby created boho bliss in neutral tones, touches of warm color, and gorgeous texture – with wedding flowers for Allegra and Dave at Tivoli in Fallbrook. All photographs by Jessica Di Bella.
summer color
The Timm’s wedding at Twin Oaks Gardens was filled with summer-color and sweets on our catered dessert table. While I share photos of our work, I’m putting exclamation-marks on the flowers(!!!), and officially-announcing that Glorified Hobby (my florist business) has expanded to provide full-scale services for events and weddings. Our hearts and full and excited!
floral feast
Floral-feast was the theme to celebrate my daughter’s 18th birthday. I hosted a ladies-luncheon, surrounded by laughter, flowers, cake, and some of the wonderful moms and daughters in her life.
pineapple upside down cake
Pineapple Upside Down Cake is a comfort-food tradition. I have enjoyed this cake for many years, and I’m happy to share my own recipe and version: a delicious, tender-crumb, not-too-sweet-cake that I bake for my customers, and at home for my family. We enjoy this on special occasions, or when we need a little something to brighten our day.
crisp and clear dessert table, at Tivoli
Mili’s Sweets was hired to set Connie and Corbin’s wedding cake and dessert table at Tivoli Italian Villa – tucked into the beautiful hills of Fallbrook, California. We went with all crisp and clear pieces to set their dessert table, where guests would patiently wait to enjoy their custom menu.
orange-cranberry King Cake
At home, we love orange-cranberry King Cake, also know as Three Kings Cake and Rosca de Reyes. My recipe version of this tradition is a glazed orange-cranberry sweet bread.
